Dosing Equipment

Dosing Equipment are used for feeding and dosing plastic raw materials in granulated or powder shape to Extruders or injection molding machines.

The use of efficient dosing equipment is one of the preconditions for the successful application of silage additives and grain preservatives. The devices must be capable of reliably dosing an average amount, set in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, into the crop to be treated, regardless of whether granulate spreaders or liquid dosing devices are used. However, due to their easier handling and better dosing accuracy, liquid products have become the most popular.

Efficient dosing equipment must comply with the following requirements:

  • sturdy and reliable construction
  • easy to operate and maintain
  • average quantity check with a warning if too much or too little is dosed
  • the possibility to scale up if requirements increase
  • the option to dose aggressive substances such as e.g. acids
