End Tipping Hopper

End Tipping Hopper has many industrial and construction applications. It’s compact size and maneuverability saves space and time in a busy workshop. The End Tipping Hopper adds a level of safety to an already automated process.

Operation Principles

When the front of the hopper comes in to contact with the container into which it is being emptied, or any other fixed edge, two spring loaded buffers release a locking hook allowing the full hopper to roll forward and empty its contents. The empty hopper will then roll back and automatically lock in the original position ready for reuse.

All hoppers are fitted with safety catches to prevent accidental tipping. A safety chain is fitted and used when the hopper is lifted, this is to prevent the hopper from sliding forward on the forks of the lift truck being used.

Castors can be fitted, giving the ability to move the hopper by hand to collect waste from several locations or to positions not easily reached by lift trucks.

Rope hooks may be added as an option to allow the hopper to be fitted with a plastic sheet cover.

Common Specifications

Standard width of End Tipping Hopper is 3.1m. Belt widths are 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2100mm and 2400mm. Belts are supported on heavy duty 4" pitch roller side chains with a breaking capacity of 15000lb. Belts are thick reinforced rubber (not thin pvc) and have moulded chevrons to assist the emptying of the hopper and to prevent crop slippage on the belt. 12.5 x 18 wheels and removable drawbar are fitted. Hopper back rubber is adjustable in height to accommodate different height trailers. Belt top drive shaft is driven from both sides to give a positive and robust drive system necessary when working in tough conditions. Variable speed via an inverter gives the ideal belt speed for the job.
