Bolted Type Series
Screw Type Series
Union Type Series

Rupture Disc Holders are commonly constructed with solid PTFE resin insert pressed into inner diameter of stainless steel holder. When used with fluoropolymer lined rupture disk, only fluoropolymer is in contact with corrosive media. Aggressive corrosive materials can damage rupture disk holders, leading to premature failure which disrupts processing with increased maintenance downtime.

Typical Types

Bolted Type Series

The typical Conventional Bolted Type Rupture Disc Holder is a two-piece unit consisting of a base flange (inlet) and a holddown flange (outlet). The 30° angular seating surfaces of these flanges are machined to grip Conventional P/CPV and HO/HOV Series Rupture Discs. When assembled, the crown (bulged portion) of the disc protrudes into the hold down flange and a metal to metal seal is provided.

Screw Type Series

The typical Screw Type Rupture Disc Holder (without rupture disc) is a three-piece unit consisting of a base (inlet), hold down ring, and an outlet nut. When assembled, with rupture disc in place, the crown of the disc protrudes into the hold down ring. The base and hold down ring grip the rupture disc while the outlet nut provides the compression necessary to create a metal to metal seal.

Union Type Series

The typical Union Type Rupture Disc Holder is a three-piece unit consisting of a base flange (inlet), a hold down flange (outlet) and a union nut. The 30° angular seating surfaces of these holders are machined to grip Conventional Pre-bulged P/CPV Series and HO/HOV Series Rupture Discs. The base and hold down flanges grip the rupture disc while the union nut provides the compression necessary to create a metal-to-metal seal.
