Screw Cooler is an indirect Heat Exchangers utilizing a hollow screw for heating,cooling or drying bulk solids, filter cakes, pastes or sludges.It is used for preheating and precooling of the conveying mass with the help of water or thermal fluid/Flue gases or steam.

Screw cooler consists essentially of two intersecting spirals to transport the product, with hollow shafts and cavities on the screws, for the passage of cooling liquid; these screws are also contained in a chamber covered by cooling liquid.
