Surface Heaters

Surface Heaters are compact heating devices that utilize proven ceramic PTC technology to act as the heating element. PTC thermistors are self-regulating elements and can operate at a nearly constant temperature over a wide range of voltage and environmental conditions.

This surface heater assembly utilizes one or more PTC heating elements encased in an insulating sleeve and crimped into a aluminum housing that is designed to efficiently and effectively transfer the heat from the PTC element to the surface to be heated.

These heaters are ideal where low-cost heating of a surface is desired. They require no thermostat or other controlling device and can be used alone or combined with a number of other devices to heat a large area. Applications include hair curlers and crimpers, water heaters, glue guns, valve heating, CCTV cameras, telecommunications equipment, refrigeration drip trays and many others.
