Cage Mills are ideal for complete continuous blending and mixing of various materials. This multi-cage mill can efficiently reduce materials of any size up to 3" to meet most product fineness requirements and is reversible to distribute wear evenly and effectively double its life.

Cage Mills

Operation

Materials are fed through an integral feed chute directly into the center of the innermost cage. The reduction process begins here as the material is impacted by the innermost cage which scatters the shattered particles randomly. The particles are then struck by the subsequent cage rows before exiting. Upon exiting, material impacts against the breaker plates that line the crusher chamber and then discharges through the bottom of the mill.

Typical Benefits

  • Open discharge chute minimizes plugging. Grinding method doesn't require screens.
  • Base frame designed for easy access to bearings and motors.
  • Integral feed chute directs material into center of counter rotating cages.
  • Easy particle size adjustment by replacing sheaves and v-belts.

Common Types

“F” Series Multi-Cage Mill

“F” Series Multi-Cage Mill features a unique flared housing design for reducing the wettest and stickiest material. This cage mill crusher allows wet and sticky materials to be reduced with less downtime necessary for cleaning hammer mills and competitive type mills.

"G" Series multi-cage mill

"G" Series multi-cage mill can crush, grind, pulverize, blend and mix abrasive or non-abrasive, wet, and sticky materials with unsurpassed efficiency. This cage mill crusher also provides a finer, more uniform grind.

"Y" Series Cage Mill

"Y" Series Cage Mill Grinder Blender has no hammers or screens to replace. With 1/2 to 70 TPH capacities, this multi-cage mill feature a low-profile modular design and can change from coarse to medium grind gradations.
