Gravity Flow Diverters
Gravity Flow Diverters

Gravity Flow Diverter is designed to divert material to one of two destinations while in a gravity fall.It diverts material into either of two lines intersecting at an angle of 60°. The valve is fabricated with a bucket design so that when material is being fed through one leg of the valve there will be minimal dusting in the opposite leg.

Features

  • Manual, air or electric actuator operation
  • Air filter, regulator, lubricator and flow control valve
  • Optional limit switches
  • Mild steel construction standard, stainless, aluminum and abrasion resistant steel also available

Benefits

  • On many standard flapper style diverters, material flow creates abrasion to the leading edge of the flapper vane that can lead to leakage and cross-contamination of material. The gravity flow diverter is engineered to channel the flow of material away from the leading edge of the flapper vane.
  • An optional clean in place access panel with spin knobs allows for quicker access to the interior of the diverter for inspection, cleaning or sanitation purposes.
  • Traditional flapper diverters have extremely weak or no shaft seals causing leakage and cross-contamination. The gravity flow diverter features a live-loaded, wear compensating, polymer shaft seal minimizing product leakage past the vane shaft.

Application

  • Gravity flow
  • Handles nonabrasive to abrasive powders, granular or pellets
  • Carbon or stainless steel material of construction
