Planetary Dispersers are suitable for viscous mixtures requiring both slow- and high-speed agitation. This mixer has 2 slow speed planetary stirrers with 2 high-speed dispersers. Each agitator is independently driven to allow for individual control of speed. High-speed blades provide intensive shearing action, while planetary stirrers continually move material into blades.

Design and Process

Planetary Dispersers design combines two slow speed planetary stirrers with two conventional high- speed dispersers. All agitators revolve on their own axis while at the same time on a common axis. Each of the agitators is independently driven to allow for individual control of the speed. The high-speed blades provide an intensive shearing action, while the planetary stirrers continually move material into the high-speed blades. The combined action of the two planetary blades also removes material from the tank wall to insure superior heat transfer during the mixing process.

Common Applications

Planetary Dispersers are used for vacuum operation and includes a jacketed mix vessel for heating and cooling of the batch. Also included are a special vacuum filling hopper, a rotating wall scraper, full controls, a transfer cart, heat transfer system and vacuum pump.
