'''Slurry Valves''' are a push through design which discharges a minimum amount of process media when cycling between open and closed. In the open position the sleeves seal against each other providing the pressure barrier. During operation the gate separates the sleeves as it transitions from open to closed, which leads to a momentary discharge. This small amount of discharge exits through the bottom of the valve and can be safely directed away with the use of a splash guard mounted to the bottom of the valve.
