Smashers are commonly used in industries that deal on food processing. These are used to break down the food ingredients into smaller pieces. Typically, smashers are used in potato, and other fruits and vegetables that are soft to medium in texture. The design of the smashers has the outer ring, which is spring-loaded, grabs the potato and forces it through the smasher plate.
